>tUMD 2, Even Dirtier Commie Hacks 1

I’m so happy! I’m exhilarated! An OT WIN!!!

I missed a lot of the game because DA decided to have his annual sailing get-together on a GAME SATURDAY even though there is a perfectly good OFF SATURDAY coming up just one week from today. We had it on the TV in the basement, but there were shenanigans to participate in (in which TEAM CURRY came in dead last, but what can ya do?), so I had to keep running downstairs. UMDDogz, The Aaaahj and I were there for both goals, and there was much rejoicing when we won in OT.

3 on 3 hockey is pretty awesome.

I don’t think I give enough props to Alex Stalock, but the simple fact is, there are not enough props in this world to give him all he deserves.

    >Good game last night.Johnson didn’t even touch the broken leg dude until he was on the ice. The replay (which is how it looked to me live) was that Johnson hit the boards and then fell to the ice (on top of injured dudes head) and skated away. I fail to see where anybody can say that this should result in a penalty. And your goalie is a commie hack and you give him plenty of props. He is godo though.

    >Oh…and the 3 on 3 was cool. They should do that more often.

  3. 3 February 2008 5:35 pm

    >Well, he wasn’t injured until he was hit, and it was from behind. Whether he had or had not lost an edge, he would have been hit from behind into the boards.3 on 3 is cool, but it’s really hard to get anything going.

  4. 3 February 2008 5:47 pm

    >Thats what I’m trying to say…he wasn’t hit so he was injured all on his own. He went down and hit the boards HARD before Johnson even got to the boards. If Johnson would have hit any part of him, it would have been his left leg and it was his right one that broke. It looked painful when he slammed, but he wasn’t hit from behind. Now if he would have been up, I am doubting he’d be hit from behind either because it would have probably skated away with the puck. But whatever, it doesn’t really matter because they didn’t call a penalty. What year is Garrison?

    >Jason is a jr.Here is what he says about the hit (from Kevin Pates’s blog): “‘I was told that there is a fracture all the way through the leg,’ said Garrison, who was on crutches afterward. ‘I got caught in a bad spot, but if I don’t get hit, then nothing happens.'”

  6. 3 February 2008 6:04 pm

    >Okay. It didn’t look like he did, but hey, I wasn’t him.

  7. 3 February 2008 6:16 pm

    >I wasn’t sure what happened even after rewinding it a few times: first I thought it was a bad hit, then I thought he was already hurt. Once I read Pates’s article I understood it more.

  8. 3 February 2008 11:13 pm

    >nin–Watch it again. He got hit. I don’t know if the hit caused the injury or made it worse. But to say Johnson didn’t hit him is like saying Garrison’s leg isn’t likely broken.

  9. 3 February 2008 11:42 pm

    >My opinion doesn’t change but I was quite sure when it happened that his leg was broken.

  10. 4 February 2008 4:58 am

    >Any way it happened, that sucks. UMD doesn’t have a lot of defense, so having him out will only hurt your team. Ouch. That would be a painful way to break your leg too.On the brighter side…Curry was back. Yea for you!!

  11. 4 February 2008 5:08 am

    >Did you get my email re: Clarky? Our defense is actually fairly decent, although they have been some breakdowns. You don’t have the #1 PK in the country without having good D, from the defencemen, the forwards, and of course the Stalock.

  12. 4 February 2008 5:12 am

    >Yes, I got it. Stalock will choke before ever playing for the Sharks, so I don’t have to worry about Clarky cheering for him!!Still…losing a main D man hurts. Injuries suck!

    >RWD if the BADgers are the Dirty Commie hacks, what naughty things do you call the Fighting Sioux?LOL… I can only imagine. That was a nice win it boosted the Dogs to 8th in the PWR… I see LGMs has issues with your goaltender.

  14. 7 February 2008 10:54 pm

    >Sioux/Bulldogs – Saturday, yep I’ll be there. In my usual spot of course: Staight up from the band, right on the aisle, row 5.Do you want to stop up or should I come find you?

    >Going to a game/series at the DECC was a lot of fun, we went about 6 years ago and it was a lot more fun than going to the John in MPLS or the concrete center.

Well?
